Picking Cherries
Upon arrival, each visitor pays a nominal entrance fee, which includes the provision of a container for cherry picking. The container serves as a handy reference for the ideal weight of cherries – around 1kg. Feel free to fill it to the brim with our delectable cherries, whether you prefer the deep ruby-red or sun-kissed yellow varieties. In between your cherry-picking adventures, take some time to explore the picturesque orchards, soaking in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Once you’ve gathered your desired cherries, head over to our farmstall, where your container will be weighed for your convenience. We do accept card payments, making the process even smoother. For those looking to savor the beauty of our farm at a leisurely pace, we welcome you to bring along a picnic. There’s nothing quite like enjoying the “fruits of your labor” on a sunny summer day, relaxing beneath the cool shade of a pine tree. Please note that this year, we are unable to accommodate large groups with buses or permit any open fires on the premises.
Cherry Picking Season
- Cherry picking season takes place in November and December each year.
- Entrance fee is affordable and inclusive for all visitors. It costs R40 per person and just R20 for children under 10 years old.
- Enjoy the freedom of cherry-picking at R80 per kilogram of the delicious fruit you harvest.
