Set on three hundred acres of African paradise forest you will find Cybele Forest Lodge and Health Spa. The Lodge is a charming old farmhouse with a wide verandah where you can sip sundowners whilst looking out over the magnificent gardens. Here you can relax and listen to the creaking of the Bluegum Trees in the forest breeze and breathe in the heady aromas of Frangipani, Gardenia and Buddleia. In striking contrast to the vivid colours and lush greenery of the garden, the interior of The Lodge is warm and inviting.

Citizen.co.za 2013 Update: Well-known Cybele Forest Lodge & Health Spa will close down at midday on Sunday November 17. The closure is the result of a land claim which was initiated by the Manzimhlophe Community.

The magic of Cybele Forest Lodge & Spa emerges as you are shown to your room. Accommodation is limited to 28 guests, ensuring peace and quiet, and personal attention. Each of the suites and cottages has been furnished and decorated to exacting standards. Original art adorns the walls and every whim is catered for, from the well-stocked mini bar in each room - complete with freshly sliced lemon and lime for your gin-and-tonic and ginger for your tea - to the little sheep you’ll find on your pillow at night.

The Forest Health Spa at Cybele provides a natural wellspring of health and peace, offering a wide range of treatments to rejuvenate the body and restore the soul. Step softly on the pine needles to a haven of serenity, the heart of which is formed by a tranquil Zen garden. Guests are encouraged to book a consultation with the Spa Manager to ensure that they receive the most from their Forest Health Spa experience.

The food at Cybele Forest Lodge & Spa is supervised by internationally experienced chefs and could be described as classic French combined with traditional English. Naturally, we use only the best and the freshest of ingredients. No expense is spared in the preparation of our food, which has been acclaimed on numerous occasions by guests and journalists from all over the world, as amongst the best on offer in South Africa.
