Kaapsehoop Horse Trails is a well-known and peaceful mountain retreat that offers horse riding and lodging, as well as equestrian programs and other services. The Drakensberg Escarpment is located 35 kilometers from Mbombela in South Africa, near the picturesque ancient gold mining community of Kaapsehoop. Your shoulders will lighten as you follow the meandering 7km woodland route through the Berlin Forest, your eyes will be drawn to the horizon, and your lungs will breathe in the fresh pine-scented air.

Horseback riding is beneficial to both the body and the soul, as well as providing a sense of well-being. Regardless of your riding experience, we prioritize your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. Novice riders will immediately feel at ease on our well-trained horses, additionally our devoted crew is constantly on hand giving advice both before and during the outrides. The skilled rider may enjoy a lovely hour ride that includes trotting and cantering, or we can provide longer trips (see options below). All trails are led by a guide.
