Komati Gorge Luxury Lodge, Fly Fishing and Wildlife Reserve. One of the best 4 star lodges in Mpumalanga! The main lodge is managed by the owner, and offers a library, small conference facility, pool, and a pub and restaurant. It is one of the most alluring Lodges located on the Drakensberg Escarpment in Mpumalanga, between Carolina and Machadodorp. The resort is situated on 2500 hectares of thorn bushveld and highveld grassland. There is a winding river, majestic cliffs and rolling hills for lovers of the outdoors to explore. Activities include fishing, bird-watching, wildlife, boating, walking or just relaxing in a beautiful, tranquil setting.
Komati Gorge Luxury Lodge facilities:
- CAMPING:
Our camp site, Kranskloof camp, is hidden away in an indigenous bush and is built of local rock. It is close to a stream and waterfall. Facilities include lapas, hot showers (heated by a ‘Donkey’ boiler), flushing toilets, basins. The open rondavel kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, and has a fridge and freezer, stove, etc. It is serviced during the day. The kitchen has 2-plate gas cooker, pots, pans, potjies, braai facilities. Firewood is supplied. No electricity available, only gas and paraffin. This camp can only be reached by a 4×4 vehicle, but guests without 4×4’s will be transported to the camp. There is one camp attendant that will help with cleaning, firewood etc. Bedding and towels are not provided. Kranskloof bush camp caters for up to 24 people. There are 3 rock cabins sleeping 8 people each on bunk beds. Minimum 6. - Self Catering & B&B Accommodation.

Breakfast & 3 course dinner.
Lounge area with gas fireplace, spacious bathroom with corner bath and separate loo, DSTV, Electric blankets.
Sleeps 2 in a queen bed. - ZEBRA COTTAGE:
Huge lounge with fireplace, dining area, kitchen, 2 bedrooms en suite, loft room, private verandah with braai, DSTV.
Sleeps 6, 4 in two queen beds and 2 in the loft. - YELLOWWOOD MANOR:
Lounge with fireplace and bar, dining area, fully equipped kitchen, guest loo, 4 bedrooms en suite, loft room for kids, private verandah with braai area, DSTV and this house is situated right on the river.
Sleeps 10 in 3 queen beds and 4 single beds. - FIREFLY COTTAGE:
2 bedrooms, full bathroom, lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Private verandah and braai area. DSTV.
Sleeps 2 in 1 queen bed and 2 singles in day beds. - BUTTERFLY HOUSE:
1 Bedroom, full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen.Private verandah with braai area. DSTV.
Sleeps 3 in 1 queen bed and a single bed.
