Magoebaskloof Getaway Camping is set between mountains and streams, amongst lush subtropical vegetation. Situated on a beautiful 64ha farm with about 4ha of gardens and 1.5ha of dams, it is a real oasis of peace and tranquility.
Magoebaskloof Getaway Camping Site. There are 10 camping sites, which are about 10m x 10m, just above a Dam. The sites are clearly demarcated by drainage and clearly numbered. Each site has its own braai area and table with a light that can be switched on and off. Underneath the braai table is a spot where you can put your braai wood or charcoal and big black dustpan. You are able to buy wood, bricket, charcoal, firelighter, cool drinks, etc.
Magoebaskloof Getaway is a great place to get away with your pets and for you hounds. You are welcome to bring you hound on your holiday to Magoebaskloof Getaway however there are something’s to take note of:
The gardens are not fenced, so your hound cannot be left alone – shut or locked inside the log cabin – if you go off anywhere. Some of the wild animals can be dangerous if your dog chases them. (baboons, moneys or bushbuck). There are ticks in the long grass, so dogs should be ‘frontlined’ before you come. Our staff are not responsible for the care of your dog or its “landmines” so please clean up after your own hound.
You are to sign an indemnity form agreeing that you have understood all these issues and take full responsibility for your hound. All bowls, bedding etc. must be brought by you. Care must be taken in the venue with regard to muddy feet on carpets, and they are not allowed onto sofas and beds, etc. Other guests should not be disturbed by barking dogs, or disturbed or “accosted” by dogs. We have never had any problems with dogs at Magoebaskloof Getaway because pet-parents know whether their hound have the right kind of bush-wise personality for this kind of holiday. Male & female ablution.
Camping Kitchen & Wash Area – central area for washing dishes, etc, with a fridge/freezer, urn, 2x toaster, two plate stove and a table top for a working area. There is also an area on the one side of the Ablution facility to wash clothes and on the other to wash your scuttle dish. Each camping site had there own braai with table top, braai light and a dustpan next to the braai. There is a drinking water point at each site. Each site has their own caravan socket outlets. Classic, elegant country weddings. Lovely deck overlooking our Trout dam. Fantastic photo opportunities in the surrounding Afromontane forest, with magnificent mountains, streams, natural forests and splendid, scenic surrounds as backdrop!
