Oewerzicht Tented Accommodation, six tents situated on the banks of the Sonderend river, near Greyton, Overberg. Four of the Safari Tents come with a queen size bed and two with 2 x single beds, all with en-suite bathrooms. Other features include a bar refrigerator, heater or fan, a comfortably sized veranda overlooking the river and a braai area. A fully equipped communal kitchen with an indoor braai area, dining and lounge is available for safari tent guests. Regret – no Pets allowed in the Tents. Oewerzicht provides bedding, towels, firewood (R20/bag), ice (R10/bag) as well as a “braai” grid. Please bring your own food, swimming towels, fire lighters and matches.
Oewerzicht is a fully operational farm, 9 km from the quaint village of Greyton. The farm harvest apples, pears, broccoli and cauliflower for most of the year. The rest of the farm consists of rolling wheat lands and large flocks of sheep.
Oewerzicht Farm Accommodation:
- Riverside Tents: Six (6) tents on the banks of the Sonderend river.
- Campsite: 24 grass camp sites, various, with reed shades and power-points, on the bank of the river, modern ablution and braai facilities.
- Cottages: There are three (3) farm style cottages (situated about 50 meters from the river): Bergzicht, Welgeleë and Citrus.
- De Hoop Victorian House: can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests, on a self-catering basis, modern country living. Centrally located in the beautiful Vigne Lane of Greyton.
- Kleinmond Beach House: weekend away or a midweek stay for up to 8 guests, situated on the beach.
- De Hoop Cottage: 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with an extra king size bed extra length, second bedroom has a double bed. Fully equipped kitchen.
Oewerzicht Farm Activities:
Bird Watching: blue cranes, secretary birds, large flocks of guinea fowl, etc.
Hiking & Mountain Biking Trails: enjoy the magnificent scenery through the orchards. Bikes can also be rented in the village.
Dog Friendly: guests are welcome to bring their well-behaved dogs (max 1 per cottage, or 2 small dogs, but only on arrangement) along to the Self Catering Units (unfortunately no pets allowed at the Campsite or Tents).
