Skyway Trails‘ aerial canopy tours are located next to the Kruger National Park in one of the few surviving natural wooded valleys along the Sabie River. It is well shaded from the northern sun because it is located on the northern bank of the river and is mostly south-facing. As a result, it remains quite damp all year. The valley creates a steep bowl with intact portions of real Afromontane forest and a variety of endangered plant species, including a seldom discovered orchid, which has now become the province’s sole second record of its presence. Experience a thrilling outdoor adventure over one of the last remaining natural forested valleys along the Sabie River, adjacent to the Kruger National Park.

The Treetop canopy tours challenge is an elevated obstacle course or high ropes course, made up of interconnecting poles and trees that support various obstacles or elements between them. All these interconnecting poles and trees form a giant “jungle gym” suitable for both young and old (adult) kids. Ideal family adventure. The course is the first of its kind in South Africa and is built to European Rope Course Standards, and has the latest continuous belay safety system imported from Switzerland.

The canopy tour itself is made up of 18 challenging elements and is suitable for people of all ages who are up for the challenge from 1.25 m tall with a maximum weight restriction of 120kg. The duration of the activity is approx. 1 hour, bottled water is provided. We can accommodate individuals to large groups by arrangement and it is ideal for school groups or as a corporate team building activity. Scheduled departures daily, advanced booking is recommended.
